Download Limits

In order to add some protection your valuable digital products from malicious users and non-permitted sharing of files, you can enable a limit on the number of times files in an digital product attachment can be downloaded by a customer on their download page. You can also limit the length of time in which a file can be downloaded by the customer after they purchase it.

Access codes or license keys

To add another layer of protection, you can enable the access codes feature. If enabled, customers will be required to enter a valid access code or license key in order to download the attachment files from the download page.

Access codes can be configured to be automatically generated based on rules such as length of key and characters/digits to use, or you can provide a list of codes/keys to use. Each customer is assigned one random key from the auto generation or from the list, and they can only download the file if that key is provided on the download page.

You can also provide your own list of keys that the application will pull from to be sent to the customer after they purchase to provide them access to their download.
